The company was
founded and incorporated in 1953 as Gulf Stream Lumber
Company, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Brown-Graves
Lumber Company of Akron, Ohio. In order to better reflect the diversity of products and
services offered by the company, the name was changed in July
2007 to Gulf Stream Builders Supply, Inc. Initially, the
company supplied building materials to contractors and
homeowners located primarily in palm Beach
, Broward, and Dade counties. As customer demand for its
quality products and services continued to expand, additional
locations were established in
Vero Beach
Jensen
Beach
, and
Bonita
Springs.
Over
the years, consolidation led to one, state-of-the-art facility
that is dedicated solely to serving the growing needs of
leading residential and commercial building contractors.
Corporate headquarters is housed in
Riviera Beach
, which was completed in February of 2004. This highly
automated, 13 acre facilitated is located on the Florida East
Coast Railway and contains 29,000 square feet of offices, an
expansive product showroom, 50,000 square feet of enclosed
warehouse space, 30,000 square feet of covered storage and a
modern rebar fabrication plant that’s the length of a
football field.
Gulf
Stream Builders Supply provides quality doors, millwork and
hardware for both residential and commercial construction.
These particular products can also be quoted installed. The
rebar division includes experienced in house detailers and
specializes in high rise and tilt wall construction. Located
on the FEC railway, the company also offers Transload services
with specializes equipment and years of experience in
unloading various commodities. Being located adjacent to the
Port
of
Palm Beach
, the companies export division services the
Caribbean
and other offshore destinations.
